I have been experimenting with sewing. Family members, don't worry i've gotten a little better than a few years ago. The reason for my newest sewing project are hats for Don and David. Any sunhats I found at stores, etc, were always too big. So I did some searching on the internet and found a hat pattern. Then, after only (drum roll) two failed attempts at getting them the right size, I made a couple of hats!! The only trick now will be getting David and Don to where them. I also made some hats for Joshua and Eva. They're really cute as well (especially Eva's) I'll post some pictures of them later. This is David in a rare moment of actually keeping his hat on. . . It was off 1/2 a second after this picture was taken.
Don looks like he's ready to be a sailor. He is even practicing his sailor grimace.
The boys are getting so big. . and they love bath time. As soon as they hear the water running, they start to giggle and laugh. After bath time, they love being naked so much, it's almost hard to catch them and dress them up again. And they love the towels that their Aunt Katie made for them. They like to pull on the frogs' ears and noses.
We discovered that the boys have inherited their Father's love of popsicles. (after all, who wouldn't love popsicles) We didn't want them to eat a bunch of sugar though, so we've been freezing juice and giving it to them. David was teething when we took this picture, i'm sure the popsicle felt good on his gums. Just an update. David now has 5 teeth, and almost 6. Don has two.

Cute hats, Ruth! I love the fabric. The polka-dots are fabulous. The boys are getting so big! What cuties! We love you guys.
i am impressed with your hats. . . the older your boys get, the more different they look. I use to think they looked exactly the same, but your most recent pictures they have looked very different from one another. Cute kids.
The boys are looking very cute! Thanks for the update! And good work on the hats.
WOW RUTH! You are amazing. I can't believe you made those hats. They are so cute. One day you will have to teach me how to sew. Your boys are getting so big...and cute. I wish we didn't live so far away.
